Swati Raman Garg

Swati is that girl who loves her start-up job, digging into data and designing products but what keeps her sane amidst all that is that therapeutic baking session, or food porn browsing, or simply creating something awesome in the kitchen. Putting it straight, all things food gives her a high, and its that karmic moment she is always looking for! A tam-bram born and brought up in Jamshedpur, one of the most multicultural environments to be brought up in, food for Swati was never Tamil or Punjabi or Bengali or Bihari alone; since when all cuisines have intrigue Swati.

Chatkhor happened when Swati had already struggled with cooking for a few years; all she had from her mom was a hand written recipe for the perfect sambhar and all she could do was to try and recreate her mother’s tastes and not forget the tricks she had discovered during the journey. In the process, the blogosphere became her friend, and Swati wanted to absorb it, and record amma’s recipes and further foray into world cuisines. Garg, her resident taster (and husband) being the biggest foodie she knows, remains her companion in all experiments and eat outs. Swati being the vegetarian lives the other side of the world through him, loves it and hopes to convert someday!
