Ruchira Hoon
She’s a journalist, a cook and a food consultant. When she’s not busy out in the field or peering into the computer researching a new story, you can find Ruchira Hoon in her kitchen developing recipes and baking things for people she loves. So far she’s developed the menu of a Mexican fast food restaurant and is currently doing the menu for a cafe and a dessert bar.
A cookbook addict, Ruchira has been cooking since she was nine years old and has been throwing dinner parties since she was 14. She’s always dreamed of opening her own cafe and last year, she went on to be a participant in Masterchef India 2, where she made it to the top 28. As a journalist, Ruchira has worked with two of the largest publications in India and is currently with a leading women’s magazine. She’s been writing about food for over eight years and is now looking forward to writing her own book – but it’s got to have bits of murder in it. Why? Because she’s obsessed with crime shows.
