Food Walk for Breakfast

Okay, so we’re all set for the big day, when we relive Siddhartha’s delicious article describing a Nihari, Paaya and Daulat ki Chaat breakfast at Jama Masjid.

The rough itinerary is as follows:

  1. Assemble at Karim’s at 0830 [yeah, a little later now. :) ] [1] [2]
  2. Gorge on Nihari and Paaya with Khamiri roti at Karim’s [3] [4]
  3. Take rickshaws to Kinari Bazaar where we’ll locate the friendly, neighbourhood spiderman ummm Khomchewala
  4. Try our best to fill up on Daulat ki Chaat
  5. Go home to sleep it off

[1] For those of you taking the Metro, please get off at Chawri Bazaar station and take a rickshaw to Karim’s.

[2] If you’re coming by car, please talk to Sid, so we can park together. There’ll be someone to watch over them.

[3] Karim’s doesn’t serve buff. If you’re making the trip for buff, we’ll split into a separate group for step #2.

[4] Jama Masjid isn’t really the destination for vegetarian food and you’ll have to settle for halwa-puri or similar

Please call Sid [myself, 98186-28940] or Siddhartha [96507-31144] for any questions you may have, anytime. Do remember to carry small amounts of cash only as you won’t need much. Pickpocketting is an issue.

Stay well and see you soon!

- Sid
