This is really very good Karam!. I had a Mami who could make the best Fish Biryani I have ever tasted but I think this one would be better. My reasons are simple. We have one or two malayali dishes where coconut milk is used in cooking rice. The flavour of the coconut simply wows the senses. Besides coconut and fish are so perfect together that this marriage would make any dish perfect. I must try this recipe too, at the earliest.

Karam,
A delightful little ditty of your family and wonderfully finished off with chachijees fish pulau recipe. We seem to be kindred spirits as far as are eating interests are concerned. I love and cook food from all over the world excepting Japan and Bangladesh. We are going to Spain to our apartment in Andalusia and I am going to try your chacheejees recipe with red mullet and merlusa (hake) and see how that pans out in comparison to "paella". Best of luck.

Regards

Just loved everything about this post.........the pulao recipe is unique ! But your chachi is a lady after my heart...It isn't surprising that.......

"Chachi would often incur the wrath of other women as she would join in card playing games with the men folk. She was sought out as a partner for bridge and poker games by the household men. Besides, her culinary skills were the envy of all the women and she manipulated the men by charming them with her food. She often used to boast that the way to a mans heart is through his stomach." ..............

Great one Karam !

Agree Sachin. I was however, pleasantly surprised at the Gurgaon outlet of Crazy Noodles, where things are far better. :)
