This is a very simple curry that will only take you a few minutes to make, without looking for anything special. You’ll need:

Simple Chicken Curry
  • Chicken
  • Black Mustard Seeds
  • Diced onion(s)
  • Diced tomato(es)
  • Kadi patta
  • Ginger paste
  • Garlic Paste
  • Chilli powder
  • Green chillies
  • Aamchur powder
  • Haldi powder

Method:

  1. Heat oil. Add mustard [crackle], haldi, chilli powder, salt. Stir
  2. Add Ginger and Garlic paste. Fry. Add onions. Fry.
  3. Add tomatoes, aamchur powder, kadi patta, green chillies. Fry.
  4. Add some water. Bring to boil.
  5. Add chicken. Cook.
  6. Thicken if you like. Serve with rice or rotis.

I couldn’t think of a better name. If you have a better name, tell me.

  1. Hey… do look at this site as well: http://www.burntmouth.com/

And giving the amounts of ingredients will probably help a great deal. :-)

And I can see you’re beginning to take pics and post them too.

    Great!

  2. Interesting site. Will add it to the directory.
Ingredients: Sometimes, I just have a look and a taste in my mind and go and try to make it happen. In those cases, I’m so involved in it, I just dont get around to writing the amounts. However, point taken. If you ever try this one, could *you* tell *me* the amounts?

Yeah, the pictures – inspired by you! I’ve added pictures for the bread too. Made a fresh batch this morning. Came out yummy.
