I’ve heard nice things about Fresco and visited their Janpath presence a few days back, with Priyanka Lekhwani of Spot & Tell.
FrescCo Janpath has an airy, cheerful ambiance that seems to be optimised for maximum covers. The service could be a little more attentive and informed. The menu has a fair number of options, from which I was hardpressed to find something interesting. Priyanka not feeling too well, chose a Menestra de Verduras (145, Spanish vegetable soup) and I went with a Stinchi di Agnello Brasato Al Vino Rosso (475, Lamb shanks braised in red wine). We also ordered a Quattro Formaggi Pizza (395, Four cheese Pizza).
The soup was nice, not unlike a minestrone; and unremarkable. My lamb shank was huge; served with some flecks of green and cream that I assume was the restaurants version of Gremolata, and came with an inadequate quantity of exceedingly delicious sauce. I did wish the lamb didn’t taste so… boiled. The sauce went a long way in diminishing this though. The pizza was a let down; tasteless. I’m also fairly sure a slightly larger sprinkling of feta would have been appropriate.
The bread basket contained some very good bread, which we quickly polished off with some of the olive oil on the table.
To conclude, Fresc Co at Janpath needs a good dose of service and a little push to it’s nearly dreary menu, apart from which a visit or two is merited, but only if you’re in the vicinity.

Jus if they could be a little bigger at heart, The Pizza would have felt complete unlike some Feta cheese jus thrown in bits on one corner..apart the place is nicely done , had a great time
fresc co is supposed to be fresh, healthful, homely food. its the only place of its kind in delhi. A pity you overlooked this – I can only hope you went in looking for a restaurant meal, like people generally do, and were therefore disappointed. for somebody who is forced to eat out every day, fresc co really stands out. Great fare for travellers.
@Kabir: Let me get this right. You’re saying, home food is about inadequate seasoning, scrimping on sauce, teeny bits of gremolata and being miserly on cheese?
