Manchester United Bar & Restaurant, Basant Lok, New Delhi

ThumbsUp Last week saw me at the Manchester United Restaurant & Bar in the Priya Complex (Basant Lok, Saket, New Delhi). Three lost hours of time, at a period when I had none to spare brought me here in one of this years worst moods. Not even interested in looking at the menu, I left myself to the mercy of the restaurant and it’s capable staff.

Wise man that he was, the manager first ordered a Red Devil for me, a mammoth of a glass filled to the brim with eleven different alcohols. As you may have guessed, all went well after that… and after I tasted my first morsel of food. The bad mood would really have to wait for a suitable target; this place rocked!

As you can probably see from the video above, I really wasn’t taking notes (that means no prices in this review) and just taking on the bar for all they were worth… and having a great time! Apart from the Kashmiri Chicken (kewra essence + nuts do not a Kashmiri dish make), which still tasted good, every dish that came to our table was perfectly executed. The Jahangiri Seekh kebab was quite interesting – three layers in each kebab of mutton, chicken and fish.

The bartender is funny too! BTW: They have a ‘Kids eat Free’ deal; you order a main course and your kid can order a free main course from a special kids menu.

Booze or food; you’ll end up having a great time at the Manchester United Bar & Restaurant. I know I did.
