Hao Shi Nian Nian, Gurgaon

ThumbsUp Hao Shi Nian Nian is a 140 cover, fine dining, specialty Sichuan restaurant, featuring private dining areas and live music performances. Two floors of seating and a lovely lounge complete the scene. Did you know Hao Shi Nian Nian is a toast which means, “to the good life”?

suburb-icon Hao Shi Nian Nian has a separate menu for it’s ethnic Chinese customers and is one of the few restaurants I know of who do so. I tried the Lamb with Dry Chili, Balls in Salt, Shrimp and Mixed in Black Bean , Lamb and Dumplings, Shrimp Dumplings, Shanghai Chicken Mini Bun, Pan Fried Mushroom Dumplings and finally the HSNN Pudding. I also tried the HSNN Tigress cocktail which was a damp squib. Avoid. Apart from the Potato Balls, which seemed to be based on McCain’s Potato Bites, the meal was well above average and quite good. When you’re there, don’t miss the and dip. I sampled the Ducks Feet, Tail and Pig Ears too, which were simple and .

I recommend Hao Shi Nian Nian for an excellent overall experience any day. Accompanied by family, friends or business acquaintences, you’re sure to have a great time!

I last heard that Hao Shi Nian Nian now serves Indian as well. I don’t know the reason, but am not sure I like that change. Also, you won’t get the separate menu unless you ask for it.
