Review: The Lounge, Mosaic Hotel, Sector 18, NOIDA

[Rating:2.5/5]
The Lounge is what Mosaic hotels calls a Pastry Shop. In reality, it is little more than a glass counter filled mostly with sweet pastries and a coffee machine behind it. This setup, for some reason, is located bang adjacent the lobby and is a bit too integrated with it.

The décor so to say, is limited to a set of sofas on either side of the glass counter. Very comfortable sofas I must add. The open plan adds to the sense of space available, but makes it difficult to have any private conversations.

With twenty odd options in the sweet pastry line and a single option of patties for savoury, the choice for the latter is rather limited. Having said that, their pastries are excellent. We sampled their Mousse Pastry, and I can’t figure out why it had a base… I’m not complaining though – it was excellent. We also had a go at their lone savoury pastry – the Patty. It was of unknown age and had been heated through in the microwave. We received a too-, too oily, and limp patty that was largely uneatable.

Go with the pastries – you can’t go wrong there!
