Spice It, Ibis Hotel, Gurgaon

[Rating:2/5]
ThumbsDown Though the Ibis has been in Gurgaon for about 2 years now, we only just got around to it and I’m going to start off by saying I have yet to see such economy bundled into a hotel. The Ibis hotel positions itself as a travellers hotel with a few frills, without being full service.

suburb-icon We tried their dinner buffet, outdoor grill along with a prawn dish from their a la carte menu. A small cluster of tables close to the outdoor grill have been designated as a smoking area, which was merciful. Though I wouldn’t really go into paroxysms of delight over their food, which hovered around average, I definitely like the idea of a buffet with live noodle and griddle stations, salads, cold cuts, desserts and regular dishes for Rs 495, not to mention pints of beer at Rs 99 and a platter of prawns at Rs 199! The service was friendly too, though slightly harried.

Definitely a great place to hang out after work and down a few beers or have a little party.
