Though the Ibis has been in Gurgaon for about 2 years now, we only just got around to it and I’m going to start off by saying I have yet to see such economy bundled into a hotel. The Ibis hotel positions itself as a travellers hotel with a few frills, without being full service.
We tried their dinner buffet, outdoor grill along with a prawn dish from their a la carte menu. A small cluster of tables close to the outdoor grill have been designated as a smoking area, which was merciful. Though I wouldn’t really go into paroxysms of delight over their food, which hovered around average, I definitely like the idea of a buffet with live noodle and griddle stations, salads, cold cuts, desserts and regular dishes for Rs 495, not to mention pints of beer at Rs 99 and a platter of prawns at Rs 199! The service was friendly too, though slightly harried.
Definitely a great place to hang out after work and down a few beers or have a little party.

We went for a breakfast once to IBIS, I really liked it, so economically priced and yet they had hot section, morning bakery, cereals , juices…..everything
Have enjoyed both my trips to the restaurant, but as you rightly pointed out the service can certainly be improved. In any case this is best value Hotel deal in Gurgaon
Just back from an evening at Spice It, Ibis. Everything as expected, though the quality of food has fallen a notch, which cannot be explained away with the ‘no frills’ excuse. The kitchen needs to get their act together.
