Xian is a new entrant to the fine dining scene at NOIDA. Though a new restaurant is very welcome to the stark culinary vista in NOIDA, we do wish the food was as good as the interiors.

19 Oriental Avenue is an oriental restaurant in the Shangri-La Hotel. As most hotels go, it’s food is quite expensive. Does it deliver the goods? We had quite a nice time answering that question.

West View is a restuarant in the ITC Maurya, New Delhi. It’s claim to fame has always been it’s grill – and selection of fresh meats, seafood and vegetables. With the rise of many other restaurants with similar formats, does it retain it’s edge or is it on the way to culinary oblivion?

Blanco – Khan Market, New Delhi

By Sid Khullar • Jul 11th, 2008 • Category: Restaurants in South Delhi, Reviews

(3.5/5) We visited Blanco a few days back for a drink and some food. Quite a nice place. Either I haven’t been getting around as much as I used to, or restaurants are becoming more and more daring and experimenting with bold themes for their decor. I did like the way Blancos was set up. [...]

Day Four of our Trip to France

By Toni Anne • Jul 8th, 2008 • Category: Columns

We awoke to watery sunshine then went back to sleep.  We dozed for ages, it was so relaxing.  We read and drank coffee then went for a drive at about 3.00pm, by which time it was raining again.  We climbed Mont D’Or where D had been the previous evening but the 56 steps of the [...]

Our Second Day in France

By Toni Anne • Jun 16th, 2008 • Category: Columns

We awoke to a cool and damp day but as it is our holiday we don’t mind that much.  We did some basic shopping then had a drive out to the countryside.  There is a distinct lack of wild life in this area compared to some places we have stayed, the only things of interest have been [...]
